Appetizer boards are fun and visually attractive. I love that they allow a lot of flexibility since each guest can eat what they want.
You can assemble them in advance, and I often include my favorite ingredients—like avocado.
From the avocado toast to the avocado crackers, there is only a small jump and it is a delicious one :). I included a lot of different toppings to complement the avocado. I also added some sweet things to the board for variety.
To put together this avocado board, I went to Randall’s on my way between my kid’s school and my house. In less than 10 minutes, I got the WHEAT THINS Snacks and other things I needed that day, I love being able to do a quick stop on my way home. My Randall’s store is always well lit, clean, tidy and the assortment of products is excellent. I found WHEAT THINS Snacks in the aisle “Snack Time: crackers, cookies, and candy.”
The good thing about using WHEAT THINS Snacks is that they go with so many different options, you can pick up and store in your pantry, so they are always at hand and available for last-minute guests or busy days. If I’m not adding them to a board, I like to prepare a quick snack with fresh cheese and ham between two crackers: a mini sandwich.
The flavor of WHEAT THINS Snacks is neutral and goes well with all kinds of dips; they are 100% whole grain and contain no artificial flavorings or colors. They are crispy and delicious. I use the WHEAT THINS Big Snacks in the photos.
Go to your Randall’s store today and remember to use the app on your mobile phone to download the available coupons; the app is straightforward to use and saves me money every time. Also, visit Randall’s website to see recipes and more.
When you include avocado on a snacks board, I recommend mashing it, although it is true that it looks very pretty when cut in slices. It slides easily, and there is nothing worse when you are visiting someone than staining your clothes or dirtying a carpet. In addition, whatever toppings you add will stay put on top of mashed avocado.
Remember that it is not necessary to have a wooden board to display a nice appetizer. I used a marble board that I bought years ago to work with cold doughs, but you can use large plates, trays, or even baking sheets.
